Emberfall Saga

Emberfall Saga is the kind of RPG that respects the fact you're playing on a phone. Battles are turn-based, you swap between a party of four, and the elemental rock-paper-scissors system rewards planning without demanding a spreadsheet. The story about a collapsing skyland kingdom is genuinely told, with voice snippets and character moments that made me care who lived.

Progression feels earned. You level up, unlock skills on branching trees, and gear matters but never becomes a second job. I appreciated that the auto-battle option exists for grinding but is genuinely bad in boss fights, which pushes you to actually engage.

The only rough edge is early pacing — the first two hours are heavy on tutorials. Push past that and it opens up nicely. If you like party RPGs and have a commute to fill, this one's a keeper.
